Details

In a groundbreaking move to promote equity in the cannabis industry, the Healey-Driscoll Administration and the Executive Office of Economic Development (EOED) have introduced the Cannabis Social Equity Grant Program. Funded through Massachusetts’ Cannabis Social Equity Trust Fund, this initiative will distribute up to $25 million in grants to eligible cannabis businesses.

Funding amounts will range from $25,000 to $500,000, distributed across four tiers according to the following priorities:

  • Tier 1: Entry into the regulated cannabis industry
  • Tier 2: Support for essential operational expenses
  • Tier 3: Assistance with final licensure and business launch
  • Tier 4: Funds to support business growth and expansion

This tiered approach ensures that businesses at different stages of development can access tailored support for long-term success.
