In what is becoming an annual tradition, the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce is bringing back its double-whammy gift card for the holiday season.

Thanks to the support of Curran & Keegan Financial, Encharter Insurance, bankESB, and the Amherst Business Improvement District, this year’s Holiday Gift Card Match program has $6,000 in matching funds—boosting the total that will be invested into local businesses through this initiative to $12,000.

Starting December 1, snag a $50 Amherst Area Gift Card for just $26 (including a $1 service charge). These cards are good at a wide range of local businesses, making them a win-win for holiday shopping and supporting the local economy.

Sales are in-person only at the Visitor Information Center, 35 South Pleasant St., Amherst. Office hours: weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Limit two cards per person/family, and it’s first-come, first-served—so don’t wait!

As Molly Keegan, co-owner of Curran & Keegan, said, “If we have learned nothing else over the past couple of years, community matters.”
