Who is eligible
NAACP and Bacardi have joined forces to support businesses in the beverage-alcohol service, sales, and hospitality sectors. Through the Backing the B.A.R. initiative, they are granting $10,000 to ten deserving businesses. To qualify, a business must be majority-owned and/or operated by an entrepreneur with a liquor license or aspirations for one. Preference will be given to Black entrepreneurs, aligning with NAACP’s commitment to equity and inclusion.

The initiative aims to provide dedicated support and accelerate the growth of businesses in these industries. Applications are open now until May 24, 2024. Interested applicants should review the full eligibility criteria outlined in the Terms and Conditions. It’s important to note that prior to submission, applicants must have a prepared video link lasting between one to two minutes.
